School districts across St. Clair County

Recording and county records. The deed is recorded with the St. Clair County Register of Deeds at 200 Grand River Avenue, Suite 103 in Port Huron, on 810-989-6930. The hours are worth checking before you plan a closing around them: Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 4:30 and Friday from 10:30, with the office closed for lunch between 12:00 and 1:00. The recording counter itself closes at 4:00, and anything handed in after that is dated the next business day — which can move a recording date across a weekend. Land records are online from 1984 onward, with copies at $1 a page. The recording fee is $30 per document, set by state statute.
